Our origin

Bubbles from the depths of the Massif Central

It is in the heart of the Massif Central, at the crossroads of the Monts du Lyonnais and the Forez plain, that the miracle of Badoit* sparkling natural mineral water takes place every day. 

Before reaching its source in Saint-Galmier, a small town located in the Loire, the water that fell from the sky follows a long underground journey during which it undergoes profound metamorphoses.

The source of these changes is a singular subsoil, characterised by the existence of deep fractures in the earth's crust, born of powerful tectonic activity millions of years ago.

These faults allow carbonic gas to rise from the earth's mantle, on contact with which the water will become charged, before emerging with fine bubbles at the Badoit spring at a constant temperature of 16°C.

Your guide will show you how this internationally renowned company works and you will be plunged into the heart of the bottling process of this natural resource: the manufacture of the bottles as well as their filling, packaging, quality control and shipping of the products.

Drilled more than 100 metres underground, Badoit water emerges naturally sparkling in the town of Saint-Galmier, at a constant temperature of 16°C.
Finely sparkling, Badoit is distinguished by the subtlety of its taste, a unique, delicate and fine signature taste. Its fine, light bubbles and its delicate taste will accompany you every day!


*For a constant taste quality, the natural sparkle of the water is then reinforced by carbon dioxide or gas from the spring.
