"Like everyone else, we feel frustrated when a product does not work properly, but as an engineer, we decide to do something about it, always invent and improve: that's what motivates us."

About Dyson

Dyson has evolved from the idea of one man to a global technology company today, with more than 3,000 patents covering more than 500 inventions.

An innovative idea

In 1978, James Dyson was frustrated with the performance loss of his vacuum cleaner. By dismantling the device, he understood that the bag was clogged with dust, causing a drop in suction power. He had just developed an industrial cyclone tower in his workshop, intended to separate the paint particles present in the air using centrifugal force. Could the same principle work in a vacuum cleaner? He went to work. Five years and 5,127 prototypes later, he had invented the world's first bagless vacuum cleaner.

Dyson nowadays

Currently, Dyson devices are sold and used in more than 65 countries around the world. Dyson has evolved from the idea of a single man to a technology company today that employs more than 1,000 engineers around the world. And she does not intend to stop there. The company relies entirely on a team of engineers and scientists, in constant expansion and development. For always more ideas. And always more inventions.

The hair dryer redesigned

"Its appearance is certainly different. Yet it is only by using it that you will discover how different it is in its functioning and behavior. "

The air temperature is measured 20 times per second, which allows it to be constantly monitored.

Fast drying
The drying should not last forever. Fast drying requires high speed, controlled airflow.

Designed to be balanced
We ignored the conventions and placed the engine in the neck. We totally rebalanced the weight and shape of the hair dryer.
